Blackpool Sands 

Blackpool Sands is the closest Beach to Woodlands Caravan & Camping Park located in a sheltered bay between Dartmouth and Slapton. It is a privately owned award winning Blue Flag crescent of course sand in an area of natural beauty.  
The beach is popular with families and has plenty of facilities including cafe, shop, showers, toilets, disabled facilities, sand pits (from May), bathing raft (from July), surfski, kayak, boogie board, wet suit & snorkel hire. The beach is lifeguarded during the main season.  
Dogs: Dogs are not permitted on the beach March – November.

Slapton Sands & Torcross Beach 

Slapton Sands & Torcross Beach are two halves of a 3 mile sand and shingle beach. The beaches stretch between Strete and Torcross. At Torcross the beach bar divides the sea from Slapton Ley; one of the largest freshwater lakes in the South West.  
Both beaches are close to local villages with cafes, pubs and shops at walking distance. The Torcross end is Lifeguarded between July – September

Beesands

A mile long stretch of pebbled beach. There is a free car park and dogs are allowed on this beach. Behind the beach and the carpark is the village green and Widdcombe ley freshwater lake which is very important for the wildlife in the area. There is a free car park and other facilities at the nearby village.

Bantham Beach

A long stretch of fine sand in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty backed by Sand Dunes and when the tide is out there are plenty of rock pools to discover. It is considered one of the best surfing beaches in the South West. With views right across to Burgh Island, there is a pub, beach shop, toilets, car park and the beach is lifeguarded between May – September.
Dogs: Dogs are not permitted on the main beach between May – September.

Thurlestone & South Milton Beach 

There are two beaches at Thurlestone the smaller one is located near the Golf Club which has a car park but few other facilities. The larger of the two beaches towards South Milton is further along the coast and is owned by The National Trust. This is a fine shingle and sand covered beach with safe bathing and life guards from May – September. South Milton beach has toilets and a beach side cafe. 
Dogs: Dogs are permitted on both of the beaches.

Salcombe South Sands and North Sands 

Salcombe has two beaches, one at South Sands and the other North Sands. Both are fine sandy beaches in Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  
South Sands has excellent views of the estuary and is accessible by road, coastal footpath and passenger ferry from Salcombe Town.  
Dogs: Dogs are not permitted on the beach May – September. 
North Sands is set between two headlines and is conveniently located close to the facilities of Salcombe Town. The beach is totally submerged at high tide. North Sands is home to the popular cafe ‘The Winking Prawn Beach Cafe & BBQ’.  
Dogs: Dogs are permitted all year round.

Bigbury-on-Sea

Bigbury-on-Sea is a stunning large blue flag sandy beach in a secluded position with a large pay & display car park. A unique aspect to Bigbury-on-Sea beach is the opportunity to walk across to Burgh Island at low tide or ride there on a sea tractor when the tide is in. 
The beach is mainly sand with some shingle. Facilities include disabled access to the beach, slipway, toilets, a shower, a beach cafe and a beach shop. Bigbury-on-Sea is a popular family beach with rock pools to discover and is great for wind and kite surfing.

Challaborough 

A Blue Flag awarded fine sandy Beach located in a sheltered cove. Challaborough is very popular for watersports, and during low tide is a perfect beach to explore the rock pools. From Bigbury-on-Sea you can follow the hilly Coastal Path to Challaborough Bay.  
Facilities include lifeguardes (May – September), disabled access to the beach, disabled toilets, on site parking, beach side refreshment kiosk and cafe.
